This note provides an overview of some of the latest additions to <em>Daydreams<\/em> and the researchers\u2019 work behind it. While some of the newly added films have not been discovered or formally annotated before, others simply come from the sources not previously covered by the database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The film <a href=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/film\/b4095b3dcc23780eb6f563ea48d422ce\/\"><em>\u10d1\u10d4\u10e0\u10d8\u10d9\u10d0\u10dd\u10d1\u10d0-\u10e7\u10d4\u10d4\u10dc\u10dd\u10d1\u10d0 \/<\/em> <em>Berikaoba-Keenoba<\/em><\/a> (1909, director Aleqsandre Tsutsunava) shot in Georgia by a Georgian crew is mentioned in various sources as an early documentary. However, in 1977, Georgian scholar Paata Iakashvili presented findings proving that the film was not a chronicle but in fact the first Georgian fiction film, a comedy with a script and a vast cast of actors. His article is not readily accessible, as it has not been digitized. Ivonin) was apparently not advertised in the press. However, its printed handbill survived and can be found in the collection of the National Library of Russia in Saint Petersburg.\u00b2 The existence of this handbill was referenced in a book chapter by Elena Komissarova.\u00b3 A libretto and titles of the film\u2019s four parts contained in the handbill were made available by the <em>Daydreams <\/em>volunteer Tatiana Bolotnikova.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-new-films-in-the-database-edition-i-2.jpg\" rel=\"wpdevart_lightbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"915\" height=\"1171\" src=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-new-films-in-the-database-edition-i-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147431\" style=\"aspect-ratio:0.7813839915117513;width:760px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-new-films-in-the-database-edition-i-2.jpg 915w, https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-new-films-in-the-database-edition-i-2-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/wp-content\/uploads\/blog-new-films-in-the-database-edition-i-2-800x1024.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 915px) 100vw, 915px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fig. 2. Zapol\u2019skii i Ko,\u201d 1916.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The film <a href=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/film\/593a3729ec5bd4482f227cbb03d461b9\/\"><em>Chert \/ The Devil<\/em><\/a> (1918, director Vladimir Rudin) was identified by film historian Irina Zubatenko. In 2019, the <em>I Vishnevskii readings<\/em> conference hosted a screening of several unattributed film fragments from the Gosfilmofond\u2019s collection. Zubatenko matched one of the fragments with promotional stills from the collection of the State Historical Museum captioned \u201cstills from the film <em>Chert<\/em>. Taldykin\u2019s firm. 1917.\u201d She found a film of the same name advertised as one of the productions of V. A. Taldykina\u2019s film company Ekran.\u2074 With the help of Peter Bagrov, she established that the cast from the advertisement matches the cast featured on the stills. Promotional still for <em>Chert<\/em> \/ <em>The Devil<\/em> (1918, director Vladimir Rudin). <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.shm.ru\/entity\/OBJECT\/2306355\">State Historical Museum<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Film archivist Alexandra Ustiuzhanina discovered advertisements of the film <a href=\"https:\/\/daydreams.museum\/film\/d97346c76771b2181522912cc0644294\/\"><em>V lapakh zhizni (U zhizni v lapakh) \/ In the Clutches of Life<\/em><\/a> (1918, director unknown) based on Knut Hamsun\u2019s play of the same name. The advertisements were dated 1917 and 1918 and belonged to V.
